CLCIK HERE TO VIEW (pdf format) The 1st Wave Learn To Surf Guide covers the main focus points of a beginner Learn to Surf lesson being, parts of the surfboard, surf safety and awareness, body positioning, paddling, catching waves, style and standing up plus progressive surfing skills.

- Location offers: Surf school shop, Free parking, change rooms, showers, kiosk, patrolled beach, shaded parkland, free BBQ's, Southport SLSC bistro and bar.
Scheduling
- Lessons available 7 days a week.
- Preferred group lesson time is 9.30am however this is subject to the safest and best surfing conditions. Participants are notified either by email, SMS or phone of the lesson times.
- Please phone 24 hours prior to confirm lesson time.
- Early morning private lessons available.
- Please enquire for intermediate group times and availability.
What to Bring
- Swimwear (board shorts recommended), sun cream, drink bottle, towel.
- Payment
- Payment to be made prior to lesson. We accept cash, visa, mastercard and eftpos.
Event Participant Declaration
Prior to all surfing lessons it is necessary for all participants to sign an ‘Event Participant Declaration' participants under the age of 18 years will require a parent or legal guardian to sign.
